Program Details
In our first sessions we will establish your goals for the term in several categories, then create your individual course of study. Acting requires good technique, but is also intertwined with our emotional health and well-being.

Elements of focus
Body - Movement, Breath, Stage Presence, Voice
Mind - Text Analysis, Shakespeare, Memorization, Practicing
Heart - Emotional Availability, Character Analysis, Range

Each student comes to sessions with their own acting experience and individual sessions will differ. There are some basics every student will engage with: movement and breathing exercises and a variety of vocal warm-ups. After these we dive into strengthening whichever aspects of your technique need attention, (projection, text analysis, memorization etc) focusing on coordinating the body and mind to bring the character to life. In monthly studio classes you will have the option to perform a monologue or poem for the group in a kind and supportive atmosphere. We work together on the piece in class and everyone benefits from hearing their peers work through technique.

We will explore your needs based on the following areas:
Movement

Vocal Projection
