COVID19 Info: MPA follows CDC and NATS guidelines on safe vocal teaching practices. At any given time, if these organizations deem in-person teaching to be unsafe, all private and group sessions will be conducted online to preserve the safety of everyone involved. Cancellations, Make-ups, & Refund policy:
If you need to cancel a private session, you must contact me via email or phone at least 24 hours before the scheduled session in order to receive a make-up. Payments for sessions during the term do not constitute a ‘punch-pass.' This means that if sessions were not used during the month and are eligible for a make-up, we will schedule the make-up lessons separately from the following month’s payment schedule. Unused sessions do not 'roll over' into the next month. There is one week at the end of each term set aside specifically for rescheduling missed sessions. Each student is allowed up to 2 make-up private sessions per term for any reason. Any missed past this number are the responsibility of the student.
Severe Weather: If severe weather prevent you from making a private session (or your internet goes down unexpectedly due to an emergency), I will do everything in my power to make-up this session.
Changing your regular lesson time to a new regular time: You may find it necessary to change your regular time at some point during the year. However, please try to choose a time that you can commit to. A full class can make it a challenge to arrange for this.
Teacher Cancellation: If for any reason I have to cancel a lesson I will make every effort to make it up. If that is not possible, you will receive a refund.
Students leaving the studio are responsible for payment through their most recent session only. Any sessions paid for but not used will be refunded.
There will be a $20 late fee charged for payments over 7 days late. Please mail your check or pay via Venmo.
If you are 15 minutes late for your lesson and I have not heard from you, this counts as a no-show. No-show lessons are not eligible for a make-up.
